Hunting and ecotourism

The territory of Cherven district is divided into 3 hunting enterprises: “Volmyanskoe”, ChervenskyBSHF,  Chervenskoe hunting enterprise. Chervenskoe hunting enterprise is situated in northwestern part of Cherven district in Minsk region. In the west it borders with Smolevichy forestry, in the north – with Borisovskoehunting and fishing enterprise, in the east –with Beresinskiy forestry, in the south – with Chervenskoehunting and fishing enterprise. The hunting enterprise was established in 2002.

The enterprise is divided into two huntsman by-passes. The huntsman service includes expert in gamekeeping, and two huntsmen. The total hunting area is 14620 ha, including 10734 ha of forests, 3388 ha of fields and 598 ha of swamps and waters.

There are beautiful conditions for hunting. The lay of the land is gentle, with hollows and watercourses. Pine and spruce forests dominate in the area. You can also see alder and birch forests. Lowland swamps alternate with upland swamps and meadows.

We can offer you hunt for elk, wild boar, roe, and beaver. In 2011there were 47 elks, 228 roes, 158 wild boars and 100 beavers. Huntsman services on the organization of hunting and as support are available here. The volume of bags in the hunting properties in 2010 is: elk – 3, roe – 10, wild boar – 40, beaver – 6.  The pricefor game animals is as follows: for one trophy wild boar – 400.000 BYR, for one breeding wild boar – 300.000 BYR; for one trophy roe – 120.000 BYR, for one breeding roe – 80.000 BYR. The price for one-time voucher for hunting fur-bearing animals and wildfowl is 20.000 BYR. The price for season voucher is 150.000 BYR. The participants of GPW and disabled war veterans can buy a one-time voucher for hunting ungulates for 5.000 BYR.

According to the Rules of hunting in the Republic of Belarus, the terms for hunting of water fowl and moorfowl are from the 7^th of August till the 12^th of December, 2010. There is a hunting lounge on the territory of  Rovanichskoe forestry. It is situated in Novodvorye village in the middle of woodland. Our guests can accommodate in a wooden two-storeyed house. There are 12 sleeping berths with all modern conveniences and heating. The meals are arranged by the guests themselves. A well-equipped kitchen with tableware, fridge and cooker are at your disposal. There are also a fireplace, billiard table and a safe for keeping the rifles. We can also offer a 4-person sauna (banya).

Hunting amateurs are attracted by not only hunting itself but also by a chance to enjoy the view of picturesque places of Chervensky region. The estate in Rovanichy was one of the best palace ensembles in Belarus of classicism epoch. First the mansion belonged to the old Mosalsky clan, and in the end of XVIII century the mansion became the property of Slotvinsky clan. There were manor house, household buildings, a garden, a greenhouse. The basic elements of the estate have been saved..

In 1893 in Smilovichy in the family of tailor Sutin was born son Haim. He became one of the greatest artists of the XX century. Among admirers of his talents were Modigliani, Picasso, Shagal, Chaplin… In Smilovichsky house of children art was created a museum of HaimSutin.

A farm Ubel, as Smilovichy, was a part of Smilovichycounty and was a property of StanislavMoniushko. CheslavMoniushko, a son of Stanislav, inherited the farm in 1815.

On the 5^th of May, 1819 Stanislav Jan Edward  Moniushko was born (1819-1872). He became a famous composer, bandmaster, and the founder of the national opera. Later on, being a European celebrity, Stanislav regularly visited his native mansion. In 1966 there was erected an obelisk with a shield in honor of S.Moniushko. There were several notes from opera “Pebbles” written on the shield. The opera was a catalyst of Moniushko’s success. In Smilovichy school was created a museum of S.Moniushko.

In Rovanichskoe forestry you can visit a picturesque lake Pesochnoe.

There are special biological objects that are under law protection. In 2006 there was created a biological preserve of local significance “Ivanovskiy”. On the territory of the preserve all works that lead to the change of the landscape, making fire, car parking are strictly prohibited.

In 1981 there was created a biological preserve “Chervensky” with the purpose of saving places of growing cranberries. On the territory of the preserve picking of herbs, pasturage, haymowing are strictly prohibited.

In 1988 on the territory of the forestry there were created three biological preserves “Tapily”, “Ozertso”, “Amelo” with the purpose of saving places of growing cranberries.

On the territory of Ivanovskoe forestry there were found places of growing wild plants that are included into Belarusian Red Book, such as foxfeet, twinflower, helleborine and European globe flower.

In Volmyanskoe forestry inhabit black stork that is included into Belarusian Red Book.
